Description
This two-part training will guide you through Somatic and Restorative Yoga practices designed to release deep-seated stress and anxiety. Learn how to incorporate Somatics into Restorative Yoga, helping you and your clients access and release long-held tension, improve posture, and enhance body awareness.
In this training, you will explore:
- Somatics and Restorative Yoga: Understand how these practices engage the brain, muscles, and nervous system to access and release deep-rooted tension.
- Techniques for Self-Healing: Incorporate pranayama (guided breath) and somatic awareness to release chronic pain and anxiety.
- Hands-On Teaching: Gain skills for assisting students or clients in accessing and releasing areas of tension within the body.
Who Should Attend
- Yoga and Movement Instructors: Deepen your therapeutic yoga teaching skills and earn CEUs.
- Curious Yoga Students: Enhance body awareness and learn techniques to assist others.
- Bodyworkers & Healers (e.g., PTs, OTs, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists): Add Somatics to your professional skill set.
Training Outline
1. Session I: Experience guided Somatics exercises followed by classic Restorative poses. Conclude with Yoga Nidra for a deeper level of relaxation.
2. Session II: Engage in hands-on practice, learning to assess and address tension, guide others in releasing stress, and pair Somatic techniques with Restorative Yoga for a profound healing experience.

- To maximize benefits, avoid caffeine for at least 3 hours before class. If possible, keep your schedule light afterward to sustain the peaceful effects of the practice.
