Sunday, May 4 | 1:30 – 3:15 PM
St. Paul Yoga Center | 1162 Selby Ave, St. Paul
This is the first of a new monthly gathering, where we come together to bless what we wish to see expand, grow, and prosper, and to release the heavy, dense energy of resistance and fear. Each month, we will gather to reconnect more fully with the Divine light at the center of our being.
In this deeply grounding and spiritually nourishing circle, we will engage in gentle therapeutic yoga practices, like Soma Yoga, Yin and pranayama that all help us release tension, soften fear, and open the channels for Divine light to flow freely.
What does blessing mean?
In my native tongue, Danish, the word velsigne means “to bless,” which carries the meaning of speaking well over something we want to see thrive and prosper. To bless is to wish well upon—actively sending good, loving energy in a certain direction. When we bless, we call in the Divine energy that nourishes and supports the growth of what we wish to manifest. It’s a sacred act of intention and alignment, speaking life into the possibilities before us.
We are all Divine light in human form. Our bodies are sacred vessels for that light. When we soften, breathe, and let go, we make space for our true essence to shine.
Each month we will explore:
• Soma Yoga sequences to release held tension and awaken inner ease
• Pranayama (breath-based practices) to calm the nervous system and expand our energy
• Gentle somatic movement to reconnect with the wisdom of the body
• Guided ritual to release limiting beliefs and call in aligned intentions
• A prayerful, heart-centered space to collaborate consciously with Spirit Beings and Angels who assist us in our growth
• Creating room to set intentions and invite Divine guidance to make the complicated human journey smoother
We will also make use of:
• Journal prompts to help identify emotional “belief knots” ready to soften
• Sacred space to bless what you wish to see expand, grow, and thrive
• Gentle release of old patterns, thoughts, and fears that no longer serve you
• Optional sharing in a supportive, spirit-filled circle
Whether you're seeking healing, clarity, connection, or simply a space to land softly—this afternoon will help you realign with your sacred self and Divine purpose.
About the Origin of Velsigne:
The Danish word velsigne originates from the Old Norse veilsigna, with roots in the word signa, meaning "to mark with a sign" or "to consecrate." It’s associated with invoking Divine protection and favor. When we bless, we are speaking into existence the positive forces of life and spiritual abundance.
