200-hour yoga teacher training at Saint Paul College with Maria Toso

0.00

This program is taught by Maria Toso, E-RYT 500 at Saint Paul College.

The program is experiential and rich with a strong and empowering focus on the practice of teaching, a deep dive into yoga philosphy and a weekly meditation class. Students who graduate from this program report feeling well prepared to stand in front of a group, confidently cue'ing with a strong foundation in the philosophical roots of yoga.

I cannot say enough good things about Maria Toso. She had us up in front of the class on our very first day and every day going forward, and truly prepared us for being in front of people and teaching a class. Our final was teaching a one-hour public class, so we have experience going forward of teaching people in a class setting other than our classmates. She helped me experience and understand yoga on a very deep level, and left me with no doubt I was on the correct path. I feel she taught me not only how to be a good teacher, but also to be a better person in my own life. As long as Maria remains in charge, I would highly recommend her teacher training at SPC to anyone looking to complete a sound, fulfilling training. - Jenna Staloch, Teacher Training Graduate

You must register through Saint Paul College. The approximate fee is $3,200 all included. There are also financial aid options, reduced rates for anyone over 26 who has not completed a college degree and seniors may take the training for free.

Yoga instructors teach the principles of yoga including how it strengthens and tones the body as well as calms the mind and spirit. Yoga instructors teach students in specific methods of yoga. This program focuses on four key aspects of yoga: alignment and form of the yoga postures, history and philosophy of yoga, relaxation and meditation, and teaching techniques.

As the health care industry strives to provide more personalized services to keep their members motivated, the industry continues to offer a wide variety of group exercise classes. All ages benefit from developing a yoga practice due to the positive cumulative effects of the low impact form of exercise yoga provides. The alignment and action within a yoga pose develops endurance and focus, which helps maintain health throughout the lifespan.

The Registered Yoga Teacher Certificate program is recognized by the Yoga Alliance, and upon completion qualifies graduates to be 200 hour Registered Yoga Teachers.
