February 9: Yoga Nidra - Yogic Sleep Meditation

Yoga Nidra is the practice of Yogic Sleep. Maria will guide you into this lucid sleep meditation where the body can restore it self profoundly while you are able to by-pass the conscious mind and set a 'sankalpa' (intention). Yoga Nidra has been described as self-hypnosis and many students have reported overcoming inner obstacles through their Nidra Practice. This guided practice invites internal peace and leaving you both relaxed, present and rejuvenated.

According to Ayurvedic medicine, many ailments of body and mind start with unresolved physical, mental or emotional tension. This practice is incredibly helpful in shedding unconscious tension and blocks. 

The Nidra Practice will be preceded by somatic yoga exercises that prepares the body for the stillness of the practice. 

This workshop will put you in touch with your own inherent capacity for self-healing by accessing the deep peace that resides at the core of your Being. You will learn simple techniques for lowering anxiety and stress while receiving the immediate benefits of the practice.

Please don't drink caffeine for at least 3 hours prior to class. If you can then make sure you don't have anything demanding on your schedule after class.

Pre-registration and payment reserves your space, and is required for all workshops and events. There are no refunds, but if you cancel more than 24-hours prior to the beginning of a class series, workshop, or event, your payment is transferred to a credit you can use for any Breath of Life product or service. Such credits have no expiration date. If you cancel less than 24-hours prior, you forfeit your payment. Please register early as space is limited.
