Meditation is often the least tended to of the yogic practices -- but by far the most effective and important. It's a practice that eludes many students and even teachers.

Meditation addresses the cause of anxiety at the root level. Through the practice of meditation you will learn to cultivate authentic peace at the core of your being and outer triggers and events will no longer hold throw you off center. 

To attain a perfect state of physical, emotional and mental health, we must learn to cultivate a calm mind and stable emotions. Meditation is a solid, proven method to clear the mind and calm the anxiety and stress that causes reactivity and conflict. To find a meditation practice that you can commit to for any length of time, you are wise to seek instruction and community.  

In this workshop you will be introduced to three types of meditation: mindfulness meditation, Felt Sense meditation and guided visualization meditation. You will learn to use therapeutic Somatics Yoga to prepare both body and mind for sitting in meditation. You will learn to support your body in various ways to sit longer and more comfortably in meditation. This workshop will jump start your meditation practice and is for any student who wishes to commit to a regular practice of meditation and learn the valuable skill of releasing anxiety and tension from body and mind. 

There will also be chairs available for students that are not comfortable meditating on the floor.

Pre-registration and payment reserves your space, and is required for all workshops and events. There are no refunds, but if you cancel more than 24-hours prior to the beginning of a class series, workshop, or event, your payment is transferred to a credit you can use for any Breath of Life product or service. Such credits have no expiration date. If you cancel less than 24-hours prior, you forfeit your payment. Please register early as space is limited.
